This is more than just a workshop. It is a rite of passage, a ceremonial journey, and a profound reconnection to your inner rhythm and ancestral wisdom. Over two days, you will be lovingly guided through the process of birthing your own 14” kangaroo hide medicine drum. Together, we will honour the spirit of the animal, the wood of the hoop, the lineage of women drummers before us, and your own personal story as it rises through the sacred act of creation. Through sound, ritual, and shamanic practices, you will be supported to create not just a drum, but a sacred ally — a vessel for rhythm, healing, and transformation. “When you make a drum, you don’t just create an instrument. You remember that you are the drum — the heartbeat of the Earth.” The Birth Imprint: Your Sacred Story A unique part of this experience involves exploring your birth imprint — the energetic and emotional story of how you came into the world. Before the workshop, you’re invited to reflect on: The story of your birth: Was it long or quick? Peaceful or challenging? The emotional landscape surrounding your arrival. The support (or lack of support) your mother received. If this information isn’t available or is painful to revisit, know that you can still explore your imprint through ceremony, sensation, and emotion. You’ll also consider what you’ve birthed in your life so far: Children Businesses Relationships Projects or new versions of yourself These reflections will be woven into your drum, making it a sacred mirror of your creative patterns and potential.
