Explore the Four Frequencies
The Resonance Collection brings together four tones for exploring sound, vibration and stillness. Each offers a different point of focus, whether you’re settling into meditation, following your breath or creating a personal sound ritual.
128 Hz | Grounding & Body Awareness
The lowest frequency in the collection, 128 Hz offers a starting point for a practice centred on grounding and physical awareness. When used in a weighted fork, its vibration can be felt through the stem when gently placed on the body.
Use it as an invitation to notice points of contact, soften unnecessary effort and bring your attention back to the present moment.
136.1 Hz | Om & Meditation
Often called the “Om frequency” in contemporary sound practices, 136.1 Hz is commonly associated with meditation, contemplation and connection. Its pitch sits close to 128 Hz, offering a subtle change in tone to explore.
Incorporate it into the beginning or end of a yoga practice, alongside gentle chanting, or as a listening focus during seated meditation. Allow your breath to remain natural as you follow the sound into quiet.
256 Hz | Centring & Focus
A musical octave above 128 Hz, the 256 Hz tone vibrates at exactly twice its frequency. This relationship makes the two particularly interesting to explore together, listening to the contrast between their lower and higher pitches.
Use 256 Hz as a point of focus during meditation or breath awareness. Follow the tone as it fades, gently returning your attention whenever the mind wanders.
384 Hz | Clarity & Attentive Listening
The highest frequency in the collection, 384 Hz offers a higher-pitched contrast to the other three forks. It forms a 3:2 frequency ratio with 256 Hz—a musical relationship known as a perfect fifth.
Explore these two tones in sequence or together, noticing how their sounds interact. Use the experience as an invitation to listen closely, refresh your attention or mark the close of your practice.
A Practice Guided by Experience
Begin with one fork and notice what draws your attention: the tone, the felt vibration or the quiet that follows. There is no prescribed response—your experience may change from one session to the next.
These descriptions offer ways to explore the frequencies in meditation and personal practice. They do not imply that individual frequencies produce specific medical or physiological effects.
